I pulled over today to wait for the clouds to do something cool... They were already doing neat things... but I think this shot was worth waiting for...

A to Z Ramblings.
Do you ever just get so overwhelmed with daily happenings, and ideas, and knew knowledge, and questions about every aspect of life that you have no idea where to even start or finish or know how to even go on living life? (No no, I don't mean it in a depressing way.) You just think... How am I going to get from A to Z?
I get frustrated with my brain and my body because they don't always work as a team in regards to a normal daily schedule. In the late morning, my body is tired, but my mind is wide awake. In the late afternoon my mind is slow and my body is awake. In the evening around 9pm, my body is super tired and my mind is only kind of tired, so I decide to keep working. When I finally go to bed, my body has woken up a bit and is only a little tired, and my mind is going nuts with thoughts "I want to do (insert idea) with (photography/church/life/friends) but how do I find the (means/time/ability) to do that." The only time they're doing the same thing is in the morning when I wake up, when they're both tired.
I sometimes wish there were more hours in the night so I could work more, and sleep more. I try to fit both of those things into night when I should really be using it for sleeping.
I have to remember that getting from A to Z is a process and I'm already on the path, so all I have to do is follow it, and it will work itself out as long as I keep following that correct path. And in a year, maybe I'm only to K, and that's where I'll stay for 10 years... you know?
Oh my lands...
Just too much to think about. I drive myself nuts.
I had the most awesome photo shoot yesterday with a family
and then their oldest son's senior pics. I had him jump in the
pool with his clothes on, which he was totally willing to do.
SO much fun. Afterwards Teri (his mom) and I talked for like
an hour or so in the driveway. They are such an amazing family...

hmf.
It seems as though I'm always sick on the few weekends that I have off..
Boo for sore throats!!!
:-P
Wedding went great least weekend. The high for the day was 65 degrees!
It was an absolutely perfect fall day!! Sarah and Mark are so perfect
for each other... I'll share some photos sometime soon...
But I'm gonna hit the hay early tonight. My college roommate would
always know when I wasn't feeling well because I would go to bed early
(meaning, like 9:30 vs. 1am) and/or I'd be in bed before her. For some
reason I'd have a tough time going to bed before her... I had to stay
up until she went to bed! I'm the same way with my husband, now.
But tonight, I'm going to bed before him.

BRRR!!
It's suppose to hit a record low tonight!
35 degrees. Yup.
Tomorrow I'm shooting and outdoor wedding!
At least it's suppose to warm up a bit. Will be 63 degrees
for the high. Fall is here! And now I can edit with
my windows open!! I dislike the COLD cold...I will have a "winter home"
in a warm state, when I retire, perhaps. But fall weather is great (not including the fall weather we're having tonight).
I met with the most wonderful couple last night.
And I love when you meet with a couple and you can just TELL they're going to make it... it's so beautiful. We met at Starbucks and talked for a couple hours, and then I ran into some old high school friends. I sat and talked with Michael and Erik for almost and hour and a half... totally lost track of time. It was wonderful. They're both doing with they love too. It's so awesome when people are doing what they're passionate about. It's inspiring.
When I walked out of the Starbucks, I smelled like coffee, it was dark... the air was brisk...
It reminded me of my college days when I'd go to coffee shops during fall break to meet up with high school friends. In the past, fall usually reminded me of my high school days. Football, and the after parties and the bonfires. And tennis. Night games. Nighttime hot tubbing.... Still does, but the more fall seasons I live, the more yesterdays I have to be nostalgic about.
And in general, fall just seems to be a time of nostalgia. Bittersweet, almost.
But more sweet than bitter.
(Is anyone else singing the song, "Sweet and bitt-ah... bitt-ah and sweEET!" now?
I am probably the only one who knows that song.... so nevermind:))
So now, fall is starting to remind me of some of my college days. There are fall days that feel and smell like when I was in Europe studying for a semester.
I saw France, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Italy in the fall... and that was incredible. That is where I fell in love with digital photography, too.
The following photo was taken on a fall day, when 4 of my friends an I were strolling in Florence. It was so windy that day! We stopped in a park that had brightly colored leaves blowing everywhere and we just let the wind push us around. Pure bliss.
... Sigh...

Ryan & Michelle's Wedding
Ryan and I went to middle school and high school together, but different colleges. We reconnected when we were both studying abroad in college and both on our free travel week... two of my girlfriends and I decided to go to the Island of Capri off of Italy, and we wanted to stay in Ana Capri, the other side of the island, in this little villa. When we finally arrived after traveling from Austria, I couldn't believe my eyes... and neither could Ryan. We both chose the same location to stay! It was crazy! We spent that evening and morning with Ryan and his friends he was traveling with. What an amazing thing! And Capri is still my favorite place in the world.
Four years later, Ryan got engaged to wonderful Michelle, who went to high school with us. Ryan asked me to shoot their wedding and I was completely flattered, because Ryan is a photographer himself, and a Photoshop genious!
The wedding was incredibly gorgeous-- it was a perfect day, they were SO in love, and the dance was SO much fun. Michelle has 5 sisters and 3 brothers, and she has a Venezuelan herritage... and therefore, the entire family knew how to rip up the dance floor! It was so much fun to photograph! The youngest, Nina, the flowergirl, was in a mess of tears the entire day, poor thing! Ryan and Michelle will be moving to Thialand to teach English for a year, and she was completely sad about it. The youngest brother was having a hard time with it too-- it was so beautiful to see a family with so much love for each other.
Here are just a FEW faves that Steph and I took!
Followed a small bridge to a tiny island with this great tree on. They were all more
than excited to climb it (Michelle espeically loves climbing trees). One of the
bridesmaids yelled out, "Romance novel!" and these were the poses they struck:
They really were this in love!
What is a groom to do in a new family with so many females!? Haha!
The tasty-looking before shot!
And the after shot...
