25!

I turned 25 years old yesterday, and I feel kind of old!

I think this will be a great year! I've set lots of goals to accomplish, and I'm dreaming big dreams!

Birthday fun (nothing too crazy!)... Lunch with Aaron, furniture shopping(to put on our new flooring--I'll post photos once we get the floor installed!), shopping at Banana, dinner with my parents, and then watched a recorded episode of Project Runway! It was really a great day:) I just really enjoyed spending time with those I love!

Shooting a wedding today, and then it's off to KC on Sunday! I'll be back on Tuesday. You all have a great weekend, and try not to let the new Facebook layout make you go crazy (I really hate it...I mean.. what was wrong with the old one!?).

Jason & Joanna's Wedding

Hello friends!

I've been crazy busy-- In the midst of wedding season!! It's been a TON of fun though! As usual, I have some blog catching up to do! :)

Jason and Joanna found me through my husband... who they work with! I also want to give a shout out to Rob, another co-worker of my husband's, who is a loyal blog reader:) WHAT WHAT!

I'll be sharing some more photos from recent weddings soon(Jenny and Don's, Drew & Betsy's, and then Emily and Jeff's!)! Here's a quick verbal (or...written) recap of the past couple weeks, photography-wise!

I had back to back weddings on July 25th and 26th!
Britta and Joe's wedding was up in Duluth, and we got some rockin' shots on the shores of Superior... It was GORGEOUS.
The next day, Steph and I drove down to Long Lake, were Samantha and Aasa had an incredible outdoor wedding... it was BLAZIN hot, but so were they;)

Last Saturday, I 2nd shot a wedding with Steph... Alissa and Pete were an incredibly sweet and beautiful couple... they too, had an awesome outdoor ceremony! (It's crazy how many there have been lately, because in MN, it's not that common-- I think they've all been very blessed with pleasant weather!). It's always such a treat to shoot with Steph (even though we work together all the time:)). I snapped this shot before we headed out for the night-- two of my favorite things to photograph-- a bride, and a sunset! :)


I can't wait to see how Steph's pics turned out!

I have a CRAZY next couple of weeks, you guys!!!
Friday(today) I'll be down in Rochester shooting Becky & Scott's wedding! They have chosen a gorgeous location... I can't wait! I have not yet met them in person yet either-- they seem like a great couple. I'm very excited to work with them! Jen Warnock will be 2nd shooting for me, and I'm thrilled to finally work with her! She rocks!

Saturday, I'll be 2nd shooting for Steph again-- Another lovely couple-- Gina and Travis! I was able to meet them when I came along on their engagement shoot. Steph and I had a blast with them!

And, I will spare you a ton of the details for the following week, but trust me... it is CUH-RAZ-AY! Instead, here's a quick overview of the shoots coming up this month:

*Senior shoot on the 13th.
*A wedding on the 16th, and the 23rd.
*Erin(Angelicjewel Photography), Erin's mom Diane, and I will be headed to Kansas City for David Jay's Tour (very talented photographer, entrepreneur, and marketer!) on the way, we'll be stopping to do a quick family portrait session at a reunion happening in southern MN!
*Also, I'll have another senior shoot at the end of the month!

Lots of shooting, lots of fun... which usually means very little updating on my blog... But if you've noticed, I AM getting better at this:)

"One Cool Tap Chick."

A couple months ago I photographed my dancer friend Kallie and her friend Ned so they could have some promo pics for an upcoming gig this summer... they are performing in something called the Fringe Festival.. kind of a big deal in Minneapolis!

In the article, they call Kallie, "One cool tap chick." She totally is, haha!:-D
If you get a chance to see them perform, definitely go!

Kallie and Ned were a ton of fun to work with. We shot for a couple hours and had a blast. I took 6 years of dance when I was a wee one, but man... I wish I could move like them! They both have a serious gift... They make anyone else who thinks he/she might be able to dance look like a galloping monkey (...And by "anyone else," I mean "me.") Extremely gifted and talented dancers.

Congrats on your success, you guys! I am always so proud of you, Kal... I hope you continue to win awards for your hard work and talent. Love you!

Summer Craziness!

Hey Everyone!

Just wanted to give you a quick update of my life lately!

I've been shooting a bunch of weddings for a bunch of wonderful people!

Katrina and Tommy's was a couple weekends ago... here are a few pics from their engagement session:
















Also, Aaron and I celebrated our 2nd year anniversary! We went out for an AMAZING dinner... seriously... best steak I've ever had! (Pic taken on my camera phone).
